S8 E3 The One About Religion And Art

Updated: Mar 17, 2023

In this weeks episode we take our attention to religion and art with Dr. Siobhan Jolley, curator of art and religion at the National Gallery. We discover her route on this path, what opportunities there are to use art in the classroom, her favourite piece of art, and why art in the British museum is White, European and Christian. We also discuss two exciting projects The Fruits of the Spirit exhibition and the Sin exhibition, as well as the Digital Bible Image project at KCL. How to support The RE Podcast

I want to continue to create the RE Podcast as a FREE resource for teachers. However, there are runnings costs. I have to pay a monthly fee to Buzzsprout to host the podcast, I have to pay a fee for the website and the email address, I have to pay a fee to riverside fm to let me record interviews, plus the recording equipment has been a huge investment and needs updating..

There are THREE ways to support;

1) A one off gift at my Buy Me A Coffee page

2) Become and Patreon and give monthly where you will get extra content for FREE.

3) If you can't support financially, please leave a review on apple podcasts
